RCM Implementation

While Implementation may be the graveyard to many RCM programs, it is also the key to having a successful initiative. At Allied Reliability we work closely with our clients to ensure they understand the task at hand when it comes to implementing the tasks developed in their RCM Blitz analyses. The first thing you need to complete the implementation of your RCM analysis is a plan. Who will be responsible to track the implementation? We call this your implementation manager. Make one individual responsible for tracking each task and reporting the progress on a week to week basis. The second thing that needs to take place is resource allocation. You will need to give people time to implement these tasks. Time for writing procedures, linking them to you CMMS and scheduling them for you maintenance crafts people. The third thing you need to do is prioritize and assign your RCM tasks. Each task should be given a priority based on the probability and consequence of the failure, and each task should be assigned to a specific individual along with a due date.In completing the above three steps your company will be well on its way to establishing a successful RCM effort. If your company is looking to start a successful RCM effort, contact Allied Reliability and learn about RCM Blitz, the fastest growing and most successful methodology available.
